October '17 - We hosted almost 100 customers at an open day at our factory, launched the Bailey Bridge as well as announced the production of the Tiger 1.
November '17 - Thanks to strong interest from our customer base, we commit to the production of the FAMO (Sd Kfz 9)for 2018.
March '18 - We announced a small run of the Panzer III with several upgrades over previous models.
We have also been working behind the scenes on a few things - our website got an upgrade with more to come and we have started building out a distributor network (more on that below).
As we now go into the summer months, our attention is on our biggest kit to date - the Famo.
Thanks from all of us at Armortek for your support and look forward to the years ahead !
Armortek's Rolls-Royce Armoured Car
OUR FIRST OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR
As we build our sales network, we are very pleased to announce the appointment of our first official distributor - Hans-Peter Quambusch based in Hagen in Germany.
We are on the look out for more exceptional distributors that are as passionate about Armortek as we are. If you are interested and based outside the UK, why not get in touch and let us know how you can help promote Armortek !
Update on progress ... the design process has finished and we have started on prototyping !
You may have seen these photographs posted on our forum earlier in the week.
They show the front grill of the FAMO - and whilst still work in progress, give you an idea of the size - especially when compared to an Armortek Sd Kfz 7.
If all goes well, our plan is to have the prototype ready in time to show at Tankfest at the Tank Museum in the UK at the end of June.
We are also working on opening the factory for a few hours on a Saturday in July to show off the model for those who cannot make it to the Tank Museum.
Due to the popularity of the kit, and our commitment to shipping the initial orders as soon as possible, we have broken production into 2 batches.
The first batch of kits will be shipped by the end of summer, with the second batch shipping 2-3 months after that.
29th June - 1st July: Tankfest at Tank Museum in Bovington in the UK. Along with approximately 40 of our customers and around 60 Armortek vehicles. There will be a large running area for the public to see the models in action and we will bring along our Elefant, Panzer III and Famo.
Date to be confirmed - July '18: Saturday afternoon at the factory to view our kits - open to the public.
21st July '18: Huasen am Bach in Germany. The largest 1:6 scale tank event in Germany! We hope to have the Famo running .. and maybe even towing a Tiger 1.
