PACE Financing Improvements Support Clean Energy Projects
The City of Ithaca has adopted changes to its Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Financing law, making the program available to a broader range of local energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Tompkins County is poised to do the same later this month. Learn more.
EV Tompkins Paves the Way to Electric Vehicle Adoption
The new EV Tompkins initiative is aiming to double the number of electric vehicles (EV) in the county by installing EV chargers, working with auto dealers to increase inventory, and increasing public awareness. 11 local EV chargers were installed recently - including three in City of Ithaca parking garages - as part of the program. EPA Head Scott Pruitt Resigns Amid Ethics Investigations
Scott Pruitt, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency who was facing more than a dozen investigations into his spending and management practices, resigned last week. Learn more
2018 Bike Maps Now Available
The 2018 Ithaca & Tompkins County Bike Map is a user-friendly, full-color road map, and now includes road suitability ratings, recommended rides, and info on bike sharing and rentals. Download the PDF from ITCTC or pick up a paper copy at Ithaca Town Hall or City Hall.
Free Energy Efficiency Upgrades Available for Renters, Homeowners
TCAction’s Weatherization Assistance Program reduces the energy burden on low-income residents by installing energy efficiency measures that directly result in a more comfortable home with lower energy bills. The current short waiting list means those who apply now may be able to schedule a Home Energy Assessment right away. Learn more.

Academic Retrofit: Balancing Design & Environmental Impact
Friday, July 20, 1-5pm, Syracuse
Join NESEA for a Pro Tour featuring a wing of a Western New York high school that has been retrofitted to save energy while better serving the needs of the clients. This event will be hosted by Ashley McGraw Architects and will cover all aspects of the retrofit, including design, materials selection, envelope, and mechanicals. Learn more.
