INVITATION - Meet the New Zealand Ambassador

CANZA, in association with ABIE, is delighted to invite you to our June, 'Meet the Ambassador' event. 

The event will feature a presentation from the recently appointed New Zealand Ambassador to the Czech Republic, H.E. Rupert Holborow.

The event will feature a presentation from the recently appointed New Zealand Ambassador to the Czech Republic, H.E. Rupert Holborow.  Rupert will be presenting on:

• his role as Ambassador and his personal priorities,
• Some background on NZ's current relationship and trade with the Czech Republic
• New Zealand's priorities in the Czech Republic and
• FTA negotaitons with both the EU and UK

This will be followed by an open forum Q&A and discussion session.

The evening will be accompanied by quality NZ and Australian wines, finger food and ample networking opportunities - including the chance for face to face contact with the Ambassador and other members of the New Zealand and Australian business and expat communities.

The event is being presented in association with Anglo-American University.

KIWI FILM NIGHT: Taika Waititi

The proposed third screening on 6 June in the spring series of KIWI FILM NIGHTS 2018 has been postponed until mid-July. KIWI FILM FEST has been negotiating with the Executive Producer of Taika Waititi’s new film, JOJO RABBIT, to arrange for Taika to do a Q & A after the screening of one of his films. He is currently shooting JOJO RABBIT in the Czech Republic. However, Taika Waititi was not able to make the 6 June date.

As it is such a special event to have a New Zealand director actually shooting a film in the Czech Republic, it is too good an opportunity to miss. Taika Waititi should be available some time after 10 July to come and do a Q & A after the screening of one of his earlier films, either HUNT FOR THE WILDER PEOPLE (2016) or BOY (2010). While both films have been screened in Prague in 2016 and 2013 respectively, the director Taika Waititi, has not been present at the screenings so this makes it a unique and special event. Also, his films are well worth a second visit.

This covers the cost of screening rights, shipping of the DCP (Digital Cinema Package) and re-use of subtitles plus subtitle operation.
