Island Time

Belfast, Dublin, and now the countryside. We are enjoying our time in Ireland with our friends from the United States, Dave and Deanna. Getting to see the beauty of the Giant Causeway in Northern Ireland and then experiencing the vibrant energy and diverse culture of Dublin has been a great time. Last night we spent time at the "world's oldest pub" in a small town called Athlone... a strong claim but I'll go with it.

We timed our travels well to take in a show of my favorite comedian on Tuesday, Bill Burr, during his short Europe tour. Tons of laughs shared on his controversial material in the packed arena.

A close friend of ours, Talia, works in the Linkedin Europe Headquarters in Dublin, so she gave us a tour of the facility. I leverage the tool a bunch, so it was interesting to see how the teams collaborate to make the world’s best professional social website.

As we mentioned in the last couple of emails, we had the chance to visit two unforgettable island locations in Europe in a two-week span. In this week’s Podcast Episode we talk about the experiences. Spending time in Sicily, Italy with friends gave us an opportunity to understand the deep culture and rich history of the southern island that has been the home to many references throughout our lives. The passion of the people and the fantastic food will be a lifelong memory.

Isle of Man, Ireland is a lesser known ‘tax haven’ that sits between the Republic of Ireland and England. It is usually a pretty quiet island, but it comes alive at the end of May and early June with the running of the TT Motorcycle Races that will blow the mind of any spectator lucky enough to see it in person.

Hope your weekend ahead is a great one!

Find time to have some fun!

Matt
