Special Guests on Sunday, June 17th
Rev. William and Ann Say, from Once We Were Refugees, will be our guests for worship on June 17th. They will be sharing about their ministry and the impact it is having. As part of their visit, we will be collecting fabric for them to take back for their program. All types of fabric (including denim) are welcome as donations. Our UMW Circles have supported this effort in the past, and we want to help out again as a whole church.

Prior to church, during the coffee time, Once We Were Refugees will have a table set up about their ministry and be able to have conversation with members outside of their worship message. Please join us to hear their message and learn about their ministry.

Help Transform Youth Rooms
Join Pastor Caleb and volunteers this Satruday (June 9) at 9:00am to paint and prep the youth room in the basement for its transformation into an awesome worship and fellowship space for youth.

Now Hiring- Nursery Workers
This is an hourly, contracted position. Primary responsibilities are to watch children age 3 and younger during worship on Sunday mornings. We anticipate work being from about 10am-11:45am each Sunday, but may be adjusted as we realize that actual needs of parents. Other special events and activities may be negotiated with the person or persons that are hired. One or more people may be hired to fit the needs of the church. Pay is $12/hr. Successful applicants must be over 18 years of age and will need to complete and pass Safe Gatherings training and certification, which includes a background check. Any person who purchases their ticket to this event prior to July 31st at 11:59 pm (Mountain Time) will be entered into a drawing to have their ticket cost refunded the day of the event. Deadline is July 31, 2018 at 11:59pm (Mountain Time). Drawing will take place live on Facebook on August 1, 2018 at 11:00am. Must be present the day of the event to receive prize.

Goodland United Methodist Church excitedly announces the Living Proof Simulcast event with Beth Moore on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Along with Beth Moore, one of today’s top women’s ministry leaders, worship pastor, and Dove Award recipient Travis Cottrell will lead worship via simulcast.

Presented by the Nashville-based publishing company LifeWay Christian Resources, Living Proof Live will simulcast from its Huntsville, AL, event, so women across the globe will be able to experience a live Bible study with Beth Moore. Living Proof events bring women from all walks of life together for a weekend of biblical teaching, worship, and encouragement.

Doors open at 8:00am (Mountain Time) and the event begins at 8:20am. Lunch will be provided, as well as snacks during the morning and afternoon. It is anticipated that the event will be over before 4:00pm. The event space is fully accessible. Tickets are available by Eventbrite or by calling the church office.

New Members to Join on August 19th
We will be welcoming new members to full membership at Goodland UMC on August 19th during worship. There will also be multiple baptisms during this service.
