Hello Lafayette Families,

The start of school is just around the corner.  Depending how you feel about that topic, you are either sighing in grief or relief.  As you know, the Lafayette PTA has purchased school supplies in bulk for all students for the 2018-19 school year.  The goal of the school supply program is to simplify purchasing and make the process more equitable, economical, and efficient for families as well as for our teachers.  We are keeping costs as low as possible and ask each family to contribute $40 per student. Your payment covers all standard needs for one student (except a personal backpack, lunchbox and water bottle).  The PTA is committed to ensuring that every student has the supplies they’ll need for a great school year.  

To make your $40 per student contribution, go to the PTA Quick Links below and be sure to put “School Supplies” along with the name of your student(s) in the note section.  If you prefer to pay by cash or check (made payable to Lafayette Elementary PTA), there will be a form in the 1st Day Packet.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
We still have some open spots available, please help our event with set-up/clean-up, grilling, and food prep. 

The PTA's Back to School BBQ is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4 at 5-6:30 pm.  This is a FREE dinner and All-School play date.  It is also a chance to meet your new teacher, catch up with old friends and make new ones.

This year's format is a little different.  Beef and chicken hot dogs, beverages and condiments will be provided but we ask for your help with the trimmings. Please help by bringing (last name begins with):
 
A - G:  Hand Held Sweet Treats (or Fruit)
H - L:  Chips, Crackers, Popcorn, Dips
M - Z:  Healthy Finger Foods (Veggies, Fruit, Cheese, Bean/Hummus Dips)
 
PLEASE NO NUTS IN ANY FOODS DUE TO ALLERGIES

Ummmm.....not yet.  We still don't have a winner for our last giveaway.  We have some people who are almost there but only the first person to complete all 3 steps WINS!
