Sustaining Summer Learning

WEBINAR WEDNESDAY

Sustaining Summer Learning

July 18, 2018 @ 2:00 PM Eastern (1:00 PM Central)

Families often look forward to summer as an opportunity to rest and relax. However, for low-income families, summer can lead to struggles with basic needs like healthy food and safe places for children to spend their days. It can also lead to learning loss. Research shows at-risk youth fall behind their peers each summer. By the fifth grade, summer learning loss can leave low-income students two-and-a-half to three years behind their peers.
