The Toltec version of this shamanic practice is most familiar to
those who practice recapitulation. Utilizing the breath, we learn to easily release memories and connections that unconsciously drain our energy.
Similar processes occur in sacred healing traditions all over the earth. Because our lives have become disengaged from natural cycles of rest and healing, we have forgotten and so must relearn this ancient technique.
Because we unknowingly store imprints of experiences within the layers of our energetic body, when we look inward we see how these incomplete experiences and relationships remain inside us in pockets, and are still tied into our energy body through energetic threads.
Recapitulation is a form of soul retrieval which we do for ourselves. It complements forgiveness practice by releasing subtle energetic connections of which we may be unaware.
