And if you are at the Fair on June 16 or June 24, look for me out in front of the Art Show doing a demo of Monotype. On the 16th, I'll have an activity for the kids to make a dendritic monotype as a Father's Day Card that they can present to Dad the next day!

Speaking of Monotype, one of a kind printmaking...
Lots of people inquire at my demos if they can take a class. This year the answer is YES, I have just scheduled an Introductory
Monotype Printmaking Workshop
at the Escondido Arts Partnership
July 7, 12:30 - 3:30.
A monotype is unique, a one-of-a-kind print, developed on a plate and transferred onto paper.
This is your opportunity to learn how to make a “painterly print” without the use of a press. We will discuss a variety approaches to this technique, and create at least one monotype in the class. Materials will be provided. You are encouraged to bring sketches or other inspiration, as well as materials that might produce interesting textures or patterns, such as lace, child’s blocks, leaves, etc. If you have them, tools you could bring are: a wooden spoon or wooden spatula, brushes suitable for use with oil paint, pencils, water soluble oil paint, and a palette.
$50 for non-members, $35 for members, materials included.
To reserve your spot, contact the Escondido Arts Partnership at 1-760-480-4101, or email mail@escondidoarts.org
Celebrating the opening of a second location in VISTA, join us for a great party!
I will have a demo table set up to talk about my favorite subject - how prints are made!
