Carousel by WAAPA opened last night and it was awesome. This is a classical musical with high emotions, lots of drama, some beautiful tunes and snappy choreography for the dance scenes. The leading characters achieved a strong emotional connection and it was slick and professional all the way through.

Catherine McClements, plays Claire, a vicar, and leader of a community choir, when a young man enters the hall and opens fire, her beloved community – and the ideals that sustain it – is blown apart. Each night will be performed with a different Perth community choir, it is an extraordinary blend of theatre and music.
May 26 - July 15, Fremantle Arts Centre

A new audio work by accomplished WA sound artist and composer Rachael Dease. Following a month in the Arctic Circle, she has scored a work with audio captured from the depths of the Arctic Sea, using hydrophones floating under drifting icebergs and microphones lowered into glacial cracks, that plays as you experience this exhibition.

Leonard Bernstein was quite simply one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth-century. This spectacular program marks the 100th anniversary of Bernstein’s birth and showcases ‘Lenny’s’ work for Broadway, film and concert stage, including West Side Story and On the Waterfront.

As always FAC have a great program of classes on offer across a variety of artforms including animation, painting, fashion, and many more! There are dedicated streams of classes for younger kids (5–8 years), older kids (9–12 years) and teens and small class sizes, taught by experienced artists.
WAAPA Winter Programs
Jul 2-6, WAAPA Campus Mount Lawley 
Taught by industry experts, these workshops offer practical tuition in the areas of acting, screen performance, singing, dancing and music theatre. They are a great way for kids from primary to high school, to get a taste of what WAAPA has to offer, allowing them to fine tune their skills or learn some new ones. 
WAYJO Presents Jazz for Juniors

Debuting in 2017, WAYJO’s Jazz for Juniors concerts enraptured young and old audiences alike. We couldn’t keep up with demand and sold out shows, so we’re bringing Jazz for Juniors back for 2018! Designed for children 7 years and under, this holidays it will look at A Journey Through Jazz.

City of Melville’s new series of temporary public artworks starts with Perth-based artists VJzoo will collaborating with Kambarni to deliver the first project. An ephemeral projection-based installation across the body of water and illuminated on the boats.
Antarctica: Night at the Museum
Jun 22,  Maritime Museum
This Antarctic themed evening for the Foundation for the WA Museum and Artefact Circle will include freezing fun, cooling canapés, a glamorous raffle and a high-end live auction including the ever-popular opportunity to name a newly identified species!!
This free-guided tour allows people who are blind or vision impaired to explore contemporary art through informed discussion and by touching selected objects and materials. This exhibition offers an intriguing snapshot of current emerging art practices.

Jo Koy, one of today’s premiere stand-up comedians is returning to Australia with his new show Break The Mold. Koy pulls inspiration from his family, his unique stand-up, dynamic energy and stage presence has audiences convulsing with laughter.
After the phenomenal success of Kenny, director and actor Clayton Jacobson reunites with his brother Shane Jacobson for a very different film. A pitch-black tragic comedy about family, loyalty and sibling rivalries – demonstrating that even ‘brotherly love’ has its limits.
