June is a great month to harvest some green beans! This often overlooked veggie contains so many health benefits—don’t miss out on this amazing gift of nutrition. This vegetable is packed with fiber to support heart and digestive health, while also providing some daily protein requirements. Other important vitamins packed in these goodies include A and C which help your immune system and eye health, as well as B6, K and folic acid, all which help with nerve transmission and cell repair. Body Scan Meditation


Today marks the Summer Solstice for those of us in the northern hemisphere. Summer brings warmer weather and full schedules. We've thawed from the winter season and life is teeming with vibrance.

Even though mother nature is at the apex of her activity, it's okay for us to take time to be still and quiet. It feels counterintuitive to pause and be still when demands on our schedules and longer periods of daylight call on us to stay plugged in all the time. It might even make it challenging to take time out for our mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

I created this guided body scan meditation to support through 10-minutes~ of quiet to tune back into YOU even amidst the hustle and bustle of summer-time.

This month's bookshelf pick comes from Meghan who's been cooking up a storm this past year.

Cooking can be intimidating! There's a difference between throwing something together and creating a masterpiece from simple ingredients. While I enjoy completing a complicated culinary project, I absolutely love it when a book makes it enjoyable and easy to eat everyday! Dinner Illustrated is a gorgeous volume that boasts delicious meals using a simple ingredient list with step-by-step pictures to support home cooks along the way.

There's a broad mix of recipes for any taste (including vegetarian). The recipes in Dinner Illustrated are light, tasty, and satisfying. The editors have done well to compose balanced recipes that include vegetables. My favorite (so far) is Quinoa Taco Salad that supercharges white quinoa with deep flavor and pairs it with fresh veggies and greens.
