Messengers of the Gospel Commissioned

Hundreds of people gathered at the Toronto Congress Centre on Saturday, June 16, to witness the commissioning and ordination of 16 cadets from the Messengers of the Gospel Session. Having completed 22 months of study and preparations at the College for Officer Training in Winnipeg, the new lieutenants embark on the ministry to which God has called them.

Carnival Kicks Off Commissioning Weekend

Congress and Commissioning Weekend kicked off June 15 with Under the Big Top, a family-friendly community event. The festivities included bouncy castles, sports games, music, plenty of food, a petting zoo, facepainting and a devotional message from Commissioner Susan McMillan, territorial commander.

Commissioning Weekend Concludes in Toronto

The Ontario Central-East Divisional Congress and Commissioning concluded with a joyful worship celebration, as Salvationists and friends gathered to praise God and recognize the summer assignments of the Messengers of Compassion.
