Wednesday Programming
2018 Field Trips

Thanks to your prayers and financial support, we are already well on our way to accomplishing all of our 2018 Goals.
On June 20 we officially open for Wednesday programming for the first time. Also for the first time, all of our Wednesday programming is open to the community. You can attend any of our classes, see schedule below, for just $5. For Holy Comforter or Friendship Center members/participants all programming is still free.
Wednesday Program Schedule
3-4pm - Arrival, Afternoon prayer, and snack
4-4:45 - Yoga in Sanctuary or walking group through the neighborhood (weather permitting)
5-6pm - Bible Study in the Library or a poetry workshop in the parish hall
6:30 - Worship (Healing service with Eucharist first Wednesday's, Holy Eucharist second and third Wednesday's, and Evensong fourth and fifth Wednesday's.
Free Community Dinner following worship.
In the future we will have a photography class, creative writing workshops, a book club, computer literacy classes, and so much more. We would love for you to join us for all or part of the day. We are so excited to be open on Wednesday's and we could not have done it without your support. Financial support also came from The Episcopal Communities Foundation of Middle and North Georgia and St. Luke's, Atlanta. Thank you so much!

We have also been very busy going on field trips in 2018. We have all been; to see Black Panther, on a hike and picnic to Red Top Mountain with St. Catherine's, to a Spring Fling Dance at St. Anne's, we participated in the Hunger Walk, we went bowling, we went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens to see the Holiday lights, and the staff made a pilgrimage to see the Legacy Museum and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama. Check out the pictures below. You can also see all of our upcoming field trips and events if you follow us on Facebook.

Your financial support has made all of this possible. You are making a real and lasting difference in the lives of all of us here. We would love for you to come on a field trip or join us for Wednesday programming. When you see the work of The Friendship Center in person, you won't soon forget it. Thank you!

You can give securely on our website by clicking here or by mailing your check to the address below. You can also sign up for The Friendship Center newsletter or give on our website.

Peace & Light,
