Pre-Order From Full Quiver Farm

New at the market! Our honey vendor Sunshine Farm & Apiary is offering this children's book The ABCs of Honeybees for sale. It was written by 10 year-old 4H Club member, beekeeper and Virginia resident Nina Elizondo. Through her membership in 4H and with the help of the Tidewater Beekeeper's Association, Nina started beekeeping at the age of 9, thus inspiring her book. This book will take you and your young loved one on a journey through the world of honey bees, one letter at a time. The book engages the youngest of readers by providing interesting facts and illustrations about the honey bee while teaching them the letters of the alphabet. Even as an adult, you will find this book educational, opening up a world to you that is mostly unknown by many. It also explains the importance of honeybees in the world's food supply and why they need to be protected. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go toward helping Nina maintain her hives by covering the cost of equipment and supplies. And bravo to Sunshine Farm & Apiary for supporting young Nina's endeavors through the sale of the book!

Recipe of the Week!

Our recipe of the week always highlights ingredients that are in-season and available at the market! Check out this recipe for Coffee-Rubbed Steak! Pick up your steaks from Full Quiver Farm and your coffee from Three Ships Coffee. Much like wine, coffees have distinct characteristics based on a variety of factors, including origin, farmer, terroir and roasting profile. They can help you make a great selection for your tastes.
