NAIDOC Week is an annual celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year's theme, 'because of her, we can', celebrates the essential role that women have played, and continue to play, as significant role models in the community.

This storytelling event is a response to Hatched artist Mandy Quadrio’s work Holes in History, a sculptural installation that symbolically and metaphorically exposes the erasure of the ‘palawa’ women. Speakers include Brianna Ozies, Esther McDowell and Shirley McPherson.
