“The problem with killing 99.9 percent of bacteria is that most of them protect us from the few that can make us sick.” – Sandor Katz

Hi <<First Name>>,
Last week we arrived home from our extended European adventure, and we've been busy getting our livestock back into shape - kefir grains, sourdough starters, kombucha SCOBYs, and turmeric & ginger bugs!

In next month's newsletter, we'll be sharing some of our food experiences.  Meanwhile, here's a tasty and healthy salad dressing you can use during summer, or anytime!

Kefir Ranch Dressing

The Kitchen Elf is a big fan of home-made vinegar salad dressings so I was interested to see what he thought of this Kefir Ranch Dressing drizzled over salads and cold meats. It’s even better over baked or grilled fish! It’s a healthy, quick, tasty way to add zing to any dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup milk kefir
  • Fermented garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 teaspoons lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and serve in little salad jug or bowl.
  2. Will keep in the fridge for up to a week

We've scheduled 2 of our most popular workshops - Introduction to Fermented Foods & Focus on Sourdough - these will be held before the end of the year! Check the schedule on our We Love Fermenting workshops webpage, or scroll down ⬇️for more details.
