Praise Reports & Prayer Requests:
We have a house! Thank you for your prayers for the right home and God's timing and peace in the process. When I penned those words, I didn't realize how pertinent they would be, as God's timing was certainly not ours on this journey. God also protected us from the wrong place (we got as far as going over the contract), and in His timing led us to the perfect home. When we saw this home we felt peace for the first time, even though we have still had to walk it out and patiently wait. This Thursday we will sign the contract, and I look forward to sharing pictures in our first true "newsletter" from the field.
At the same time God was answering our prayers for our house in Spain, He also answered and sent us good renters for our house in the U.S. So thankful that He didn't forget that need as we were focused on getting settled here. Slowly but surely we are settling in, but that hasn't stopped us from jumping into ministry. (but that is for another letter...)
Thank you to all who have pledged and increased their pledges in the last few months. We are now very close to our full budget. Still believing that God will bring it to completion.
Since we learned upon arrival that we have 90 days to pass the Spanish drivers' test before we will be without a valid license, we have been studying for that test. It will be the end of this month, and we need favor to pass it on the first try. (We have heard horror stories of it taking some even 5 or 6 times to pass, and you can only take it once a month. That adds up to five or six months without a license.) Your prayers are appreciated.
