Como Park Falcon Heights Living at Home Block Nurse Program
Our Mission: We are a non-profit serving our neighbors aged 65 years and better, by organizing supportive services, respite for caregivers and the compassion of volunteers.
A bird's eye view of the heart of our community-Como Park and Conservatory.
We all have our favorite people and places in the neighborhood and that creates our common bonds. For some of us, the roots run a century deep. Sprinkled in our midst, are neighbors in their 90s and 100s who grew up here and have helped make this the great neighborhood we all enjoy.

One neighbor we have gotten to know through our program is Jeanne. She is 101 and has spent her entire life in Como Park. As a child, she walked 1 mile each day through the park to St. Andrew's school and watched many of the local streets go from fields to family homes. This photo of Jeanne and her mother was taken around 1929 at their home on Albany Street.
Our program exists to provide options for seniors who want to remain in the home and community they love.
Jeanne is just one of the 2174 people 65 and better calling Como Park home. Falcon Heights has 828 residents 65 and better.
Reaching out to the 3000+ seniors in the area is a team effort. Recently, we have had three dedicated outreach volunteers going door-to-door hanging a brochure about our program on front doors.

Sharon (caught in action here) has covered several miles in the neighborhood going door-to-door this summer. Wow!

We are also grateful for Katie, her family and Bonnie for extending our outreach efforts into Falcon Heights.

Because of their efforts, the word is getting out that we value our senior neighbors and their caregivers.
Would you or someone you know benefit from any of our services? Call us at 651-642-1127 for more information.
