Let's ROAR!
Our 5th Annual Fundraiser, ROAR in the City- Really Outrageous Adventure Race is happening Sat. July 21st from 9-2 and we are SUPER stoked for this year's event! Starting at CityROCK and traveling all around Downtown...this year's theme, "Super HeROARS" (Heroes) will feature trivia, activities, games, and challenges all relating to everyone's favorite (and not so favorite) comic book super heroes and heroines! Some highlights this year are:
-a NEW after party location
-Lake/water activities
-New activity locations
-Chances to try PikeRide (the new city Bike Share)
-Prizes for best team costumes, team name & spirit!
and more!
$50 includes your race entry, prizes/swag, food & beer! Sign up online ends Friday the 20th and walk up registration starts Sat. the 21st at 6:30am at CityROCK. As always, the first child aged 5-17 is only $15, additional kiddos are $5 and kids 5 and under are FREE! Family teams get to choose how many stations they do!

July 27th-29th: Camping is back! Join UpaDowna for a fun & unique backpacking and camping experience in Lost Creek Wilderness! Limited to only 8 people, this is a program you won't want to miss! All equipment provided! Learn the basics of trail etiquette, leave no trace best practices, camping site selection, water procurement, camp cooking, and map & compass work.

It's America's Birthday and we're celebrating during our weekly Pedal Party!
Details:
-AMERICA-themed Costume Ride. Wear all the Red, White, & Bike you can find! (optional)
-Bike decorations available starting at 5pm (on the back patio)
-We'll do a normal route first from 6-7pm then offer a 2nd route from Oskar Blues around 7pm over to Memorial Park for the concert and FIREWORKS!!!
-At Memorial Park, we'll do our best to reserve some of the grassy area to sit on, and try to provide bike parking (BRING YOUR OWN LOCK!)
-BIKE LIGHTS (front & rear) and helmets are HIGHLY SUGGESTED!!!!!
-Optional: bring a blanket or a camp chair to sit on at the park.

******Please note: You are responsible for getting where you need to go after the fireworks at 9pm. Also, if you are attending the fireworks ride, please be prepared for any type of weather (rain, wind, etc)

Adopt A Yeti!
 UpaDowna has partnered with Sherritdesign, a stuffed animal designer out of Mount Vernon, NY, to create our very own, one-of-a-kind stuffed Yeti! These handmade little guys are 5" tall and have a backpack clip, plus they come with an adoption packet and even a Yeti Adventure Club sticker! The first 20 sold out in under 5 minutes and more are being made as we speak! Keep your eye on this page, @sherritdesign on Instagram or Facebook for another batch soon! A portion of the proceeds benefit UpaDowna's mission and programs! Once you get yours, be sure to share your photos with the hashtags #YetiAdventureClub and #UnleashYourAdventure! |

Take the Adventure Rx Challenge! Try a new activity, earn prizes, and score some sweet outdoor gear! Why take the challenge? UpaDowna wants to encourage you, your friends, and family to get outside and become more active in nature. Studies have shown that regular exercise helps reduce stress, maintain a healthy weight, and increase happiness!
Anyone can join, it’s easy! Here’s how:
- Grab an Adventure Rx form at one of our events, or print it out off our website here
- choose your adventure
- fill it out
- present it to a staff member at a corresponding program (by Oct. 1st) to earn a prize!
Each time you come to a new adventure, you earn a new prize!
Want to really challenge yourself? Try each activity!
After you have tried all 4 activities, you’re in the drawing for the GRAND PRIZE, amazing items from Osprey Packs and Stanley! Prizes available for one adult participant and one child participant!
