The Miniature Paintings of Wes & Rachelle Siegrist

News for Friend!

July 2018 ~ Next Issue: August 2018

Our Biggest Special Offer Yet!

Dear Friend,

We hope you have been enjoying life in your part of the world!  It's summertime here in East Tennessee which means hot temperatures and sometimes stormy weather.  We've escaped the heat and rain inside at our easels (new paintings are on the website) and we've also been tubing at the river and kayaking at the lake at least once a week.  With everything so close to us, we can cool off in the morning and be back after lunch to get in painting time or more of the "not nearly as much fun" office work.  In addition to weekly hikes and bike rides we've been trying to do a lot of household jobs that have been put off for years.  The basement has been repainted and we plan to finish the upstairs soon.  It's EXCITING to use BIG brushes and rollers after holding teeny-weeny brushes for so long!  We've also painted our front porch and hope to finish the back deck over the summer.

Wes is officially the Executive Director for the Society of Animal Artists (SAA) as of July 1st.  He's been training since last fall and managing most of the Society's business since January. The SAA is the world's oldest and largest association of animal artists in the world.  Founded in 1960, they currently have over 500 members from around the world.  https://www.societyofanimalartists.com/

It's been awhile since we had a Special Offer for our collectors.  We started these back in 2001 when we moved to Tennessee to replace the annual Open Studio festivities we held in Florida.  This year, we're wanting to treat ourselves to new flooring upstairs and thought why not pass the treat on to our collectors and friends?  The framed paintings below will be available for purchase starting Monday, July 2nd at noon (EST).  Prices will include the framing shown, shipping, insurance and gift wrapping if you desire.  You can email us at siegrist@artofwildlife.com to acquire a work.  (We'll try to update the page as quick as possible).  We'll begin offering the remaining works on our Facebook page later in July.  You can preview the offer via the images (linked) below which is our Collector's Corner page.

From August 1st, 2018 – January 1st, 2019, the tour will be at  The Stamford Museum & Nature Center in Stamford, CT.  We will be at the museum Thursday, August 2nd from 6-8PM for the Opening Reception and also the following afternoon, Friday from 1-3PM for a Gallery Walk to discuss our paintings in the exhibition.  Wes will also be giving a presentation on the history of miniature art.

Would you like to see Exquisite Miniatures in your area?  Please feel free to suggest museum venues especially if you have a contact relationship with the staff!

Paintings are being sold on the tour and shipped to collectors at the close of that venue. Copies of our books are usually available in the museum gift shops too! The EM Tour is the only place where you can still purchase copies of Exquisite Miniatures by Wes & Rachelle Siegrist (Less than a dozen copies remain!)
