Who do we still need so we can have a fully functioning PAC Executive next year? What is the commitment?

We need a Chair(s) to make our Executive fully functional!
Time commitment is one Exec and PAC meeting each month except December. These are held in the school library and are child friendly. Depending on people's interests and availability the overall time commitment could be anywhere upwards from 15-30 minutes per weekYou decide! Roles can most definitely be shared! Participants get to see what is going on at the school from a larger perspective and make a positive mark on their child’s entire school community. There is no experience necessary and ample support and guidance are provided.

If you would like to know more about one of these roles or put yourself forward please contact exec@emjspac.ca.

How amazing are our PAC Executive Volunteers?

On behalf of all parents and staff thank you to our PAC Executive (below) for your dedication and hard work.
Thank you for all your organization and coordination of our key fundraising events and school activities.
Thank you so much for your commitment of time and energy to our school and our children.
Enjoy your summer and your time off!

How did we do on our Smile Card Fundraising?

Thank you to everyone who used their Smile Cards at Thrifty's this last year. We have fundraised our maximum of $3,000 for 2017/2018!  Our 2018/2019 fundraising has already begun so please continue to use your cards throughout the summer!
Who were the special visitors to the Grade 5 Recognition Ceremony this week?

The great-grandson of Margaret Jenkins, Fred Simpson, Sr. and his wife, travelled from Washington to attend the Grade 5 ceremony this year!
What's the deadline to get your child's $1,200 education grant?

Parents and guardians of eligible children are reminded that a deadline is fast approaching to sign up for the $1,200 B.C. Training and Education Savings Grant (BCTESG).

Children born in 2006 or later are eligible for the grant. The deadline for those born in 2007 to 2009 is August 14, 2018, or the day before the child’s ninth birthday — whichever is later. At the time of application, the child and at least one parent or guardian must be a resident of British Columbia.
