Víctor Pochat received the "Agua 2018" Award.

Víctor Pochat, representative of AIDIS Argentina before joining ArgCap-Net was the first to receive the “Agua 2018” prize for his contribution towards the protection of the Earth. The ceremony was held on the 22nd of June 2018, headed by Prince Albert II of Monaco.
 
This annual prestigious award was from the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco for its outstanding commitment and support for the protection of the planet.
 
Since its inception in the year 2008, the prize was awarded to individuals from various organisation around the globe.

Creating Resilient Businesses through Sustainable Water Management: Rising Needs for
Business Water Footprint Accounting.

This is an article by Mr Loga Veeraiah, an executive in National Water Services Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara – SPAN). SPAN is a member of MyCDNet. This article highlights on the issue of water supplies in Malaysia as well as types of water risk that poses a threat to; from global, national, industries wide, individual business boiling down to individual consumption.
 
In addition to that, the article also provides an insight on ‘Accounting Tools for Businesses’ which can be adopted to develop 'International Water Stewardship Standard'. For the benefit of businesses, this article also recommends two open-source water risk analysis tools which can be used by corporations/companies. 
 
In the final section of this short article, global best practices on water management were highlighted as well as creating new water opportunity which is to be adapted and adopted by our local Malaysian industries.

Call for partners: Join the UNEP-DHI Eco Challenge 2018 as a competition partner.

Interested in a whole new innovative sustainable water education with involvement of youth? Interested to be part of a global network of innovative water educators? If the answer is yes!,  you would want to join the UNEP-DHI Eco Challenge 2018.

Since 2013 over 8500 students in more than 15 countries have joined in the UNEP-DHI Eco Challenge and competed by playing the interactive serious game called ‘Aqua Republica’ game. 
 
Apart from having fun, the experience has helped them to learn about sustainable water and environmental management. As UNEP-DHI continue to grow the initiative, they are looking for competition partners for this year’s UNEP-DHI Eco Challenge!
