As one of the most “boat-able” places in Maryland, Dorchester has no shortage of delicious waterfront restaurants with docking facilities! Here’s our roundup of seven great spots to dock and dine. And if you don’t have a boat — just come by land and enjoy!

Fitness pro makes a splash with paddle business

With a thousand kilowatt smile and open-hearted style, Angela Thomas creates engaging experiences on land and water. Whether repeat customer or visiting vacationer, participating in one of Angela’s classes has become a top 10 experience in the heart of the Chesapeake. Read her story. New wine/beer bistro, children's indoor playground now open 

Dorchester County welcomed the opening of two new businesses last week! 
Snifters Beer & Wine Bistro - Opened by the folks who have Hair O' the Dog Wine & Spirits in Easton, this spot offers a range of wine and beers and small plates in a beautifully restored building at 317 High St. in downtown Cambridge. Find out more.

How Tubman Byway historic buildings have been saved

Learn how some of the historic structures along the Tubman Byway were saved and restored in this wonderful feature story in Homestead magazine. The story highlights the hard work and dedication behind Bucktown Store (Site #17 along the byway's self-guided tour); the Leverton House (Site #22), and Webb Cabin (Site #27). Read the story.
