OST Celebration July 10th!
It's been an incredible budget season. As you may know, we have made huge strides in funding for OST programs for FY19. And we could not have done this without YOU!
As such, DCAYA, along with our partners, Parents Amplifying Voices in Education ("PAVE") and Education Reform Now ("ERN") invite you to celebrate this historic win and to honor four of our DC's elected officials for their work on increasing funds for OST.
Please celebrate with us on Tuesday, July 10th at 6:30pm at Latham & Watkins with some good conversation and some light refreshments and drinks!

Homeless Youth Census
Every year, DC conducts a Homeless Youth Census to count the number of homeless and housing unstable youth in the District. This year, during the Census in September, we are moving beyond our steadfast housing providers, and we are asking you for help.
We know you are aware that homeless and housing unstable youth participate in programs across the District, and that not all of them receive services through our housing-focused providers and agencies. So, we want to partner with you in in this endeavor.
There are a few ways for you to participate in the Census: We would love to know if you have young people in your programs experiencing homelessness or housing instability. And we also are happy to discuss the Census and corresponding survey itself with you.
Our only chance at making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring for our young people is if all youth-serving organizations can work together to connect these young people with services.
