Hi Poudre River Lovers!

It's time to take action! The three Larimer County Commissioners want to hear from you!

You've probably read about the "Thornton Pipeline" in the newspaper or on our facebook page. Thornton has a great opportunity to 'do the right thing' and send their water down the Poudre River through Fort Collins rather than through a pipeline along Douglas Road north of Fort Collins.

At the Larimer County Planning hearing two months ago, the Planning Commission even agreed and voted to recommend that the County Commissioners DENY the permit for the Thornton Pipeline. On July 9th, the Larimer County Commissioners will have a hearing and make a decision about the pipeline.

We need you to take action!

Please send an email to the Larimer County Commissioners asking them to "DENY" the permit for Thornton's Pipeline, and instead tell Thornton to send their water down the Poudre River in Fort Collins and then divert the water out of the Poudre River near Windsor. By running the water down the Poudre through Fort Collins, it's a "win-win" -- the Poudre through Fort Collins gets more clean water in it and Thornton still gets their water.

The three Larimer County Commissioners picture to the right are waiting to hear from you!

Thank you for taking action!
