DONATE Now!
The Board of Directors of Humility of Mary Housing, Inc. and Humility of Mary Shelter, Inc., are pleased to announce the agencies have merged under a new name –

Humility Homes and Services, Inc.

This strategic merger strengthens our ability to prevent homelessness and serve those experiencing homelessness in the Greater Quad Cities area. The merger centralizes our administrative, financial, and development offices. Humility Homes and Services commits to use best practices and evidence-informed programs. All services will employ rigorous reporting and evaluation. Finally, we'll be able to help the broader efforts to coordinate and align existing programs and find gaps in services for persons experiencing a housing crisis in the Quad Cities.

Immigration issues cloud our national agenda. One of our local volunteers--who also helps migrants in northern Mexico--sees similarities between international issues and what happens here in the Quad Cities. Find out how families in Davenport are similar to those on the border on our website.

Car Donation Changes Local Lives

Thanks to a donor's gift of a car, we were able to change the life of one of our moms! Now she can make medical appointments in Iowa City for her child on the best day, rather than having to ask and wait for help to get a ride to the doctor. The future is looking bright!

Summer Volunteer Teams to Log 4700 Hours

Summer brings out wonderful volunteers who help us with projects and mowing. Between now and late August, we have 12 teams scheduled with 160 volunteers planning to work. Together, they'll amass over 4700 hours to help end homelessness! Individuals and groups are welcome to lend a hand! Call Patti for details 563-326-1330!

Transportation makes a difference!  Van or SUV needed!
On a daily basis, the residents in our supportive housing programs rely on public transportation.  Frequently, however, staff use a van to help transport multiple residents to a doctor's appointments, job interviews, grocery store, and run errands.  We also use the van to help our residents move furniture and other large items.  You may be able to include your van or SUV donation as a tax write off.  Please call Patti for additional information, 563-326-1330.
With your support, we're ending homelessness in the Quad Cities
“What else is a nation but a patchwork of cities and towns; cities and towns a patchwork of neighborhoods; and neighborhoods a patchwork of homes?”
