New Zealand set to welcome more Asian arrivals over the next five years
New Zealand is projected to see steady average growth of 5.4% per annum in international visitor arrivals from Asia over the next five years. During this period, West Asia is expected to top the growth chart with an impressive growth average of 25.8 percent. South Asia and Southeast Asia are also forecast to show positive gains, growing at 5.6% and 5.0% respectively. Meanwhile, Northeast Asia is likely to continue its solid growth with an average increase of 4.8 percent, expecting over 900,000 arrivals by 2022.

China Outbound-Tourism Price Index Monthly Report is now available
The China Outbound-Tourism Price Index (OPI) is China’s first monthly monitoring system of Chinese outbound tour products and market price to global destinations. The OPI monthly report is developed with the aim of tracking the price trends of Chinese outbound tourism and reporting the changes of consumer prices on Chinese outbound travel to worldwide destinations. The OPI report will provide DMOs and destination suppliers with useful guidance and intelligence on China outbound tourism market demand, changes of price, and structure of outbound tourism products. The OPI monthly report is now available for an annual subscription (12 editions per annual subscription).
