Enhanced Public - Private Partnerships
ADMIRE project mobilizes 15 times initial investment

A stocktake of the Adaptation Mitigation Readiness (ADMIRE) project shows its initiatives throughout the world have attracted private sector funding totalling 52 million USD.  

With an initial funding of 3.3 million USD from Danida, UNEP DTU Partnership has managed to attract capital of 52.5 million USD, ensuring that the Danida investment is punching well above its weight.

Global partners kick off Technology Needs Assessment Round 3

With new partners on board, UNEP DTU Partnership has launched its third round of the Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) project. 

Since 2009, UNEP DTU has worked with more than 60 countries on their TNAs and is now ready to start the process in another 23 countries. This time there is a special focus on least developed countries and small island developing states, and how technology can best help them in achieving their national targets set under the global Paris Agreement.

UNEP DTU part of Global Plan of Action for humanitarian sustainable energy
More than 130 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance due to conflict, natural disasters, and other complex global challenges around the world. Responding to the need for sustainable and safe energy solutions for displaced people, UNEP DTU Partnership is part of launching a Global Plan of Action (GPA).

Since January 2018, UNEP DTU Partnership, together with many partners, has developed the Global Plan of Action for Sustainable Energy Solutions in Situations of Displacement. It is a non-binding framework and entails concrete recommendations for accelerated progress towards the vision of safe access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy services for all displaced people by 2030.

Asia-Pacific Climate Week 2018 is an umbrella for a series of climate-related events focused on NDC implementation – Challenges and opportunities, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and Global Climate Action. This includes the Asia Pacific Carbon Forum (11- 13 July 2018).

NEW PUBLICATIONS
Smaller businesses are the backbone of the economy in developing countries, but they are also hit the hardest by climate change. The new publication, Private-sector action in adaptation: Perspectives on the role of micro, small and medium size enterprises, looks at how they can adapt and create climate resilience. Read more
DOWNLOAD PUBLICATION
To make information on the NDCs and all their complicated processes and issues more accessible and easy to understand, UNEP DTU Partnership has produced a Pocket Guide to NDCs, under the European Capacity Building Initiative (ecbi). The Pocket Guide to NDCs covers all aspects of the NDCs - from the history behind them to what they should contain as well as challenges and best practice examples of implementation. DOWNLOAD PUBLICATION
UNEP DTU Partnership has analysed technology priorities from the Technology Needs Assessment project. The new publication reveals that developing countries' need for technology is particularly large within the energy, agriculture and water sectors, the common barriers and how to overcome them.
