Celebrating its 20th year, Australia's leading independent film event starts on Thursday next week, attracting more than 12,000 patrons and 50 national and international guests over 13 days. Over 120 international films can be seen at cinemas, galleries, cafes and bars across Perth, plus Live Music, Kid's Events and Industry Insights. Highlights can be seen below. Nomadic artists Alexander Hacke and Danielle De Picciotto present their album Menetekel live in concert, as part of a series of events featuring a silent film Crossroads about their journey, and an artists’ talk as they talk about three decades of music, art and life on the road.
