Introducing 'The Social Spark'

Befriending and TAB come together as one service

You may have noticed the appearance of ‘The Social Spark’ amongst our services listed on our website!

The Social Spark has brought together two long standing services at FDAMH – Befriending and Third Age Befriending.

Thanks to three years of new funding from the Big Lottery, and with help from the Integrated Care Fund, our traditional befriending services are being developed to provide an enhanced range of supports to people not only in Falkirk District but also further afield in other areas of Forth Valley.

The Social Spark is aimed at people aged 16 years and over who may be experiencing loneliness and isolation due to poor mental health. The service offers activity groups, small social contact groups and inter-generational groups along with our traditional one-to-one befriending and a buddy scheme.
