It's Summertime in New England, and the CDA has plenty of things planned!

The Chelmsford Dog Association will have our booth at the Chelmsford Country Fair. We'll be in our usual spot with t-shirts, games and dogs to pat!

Also, keep an eye out for us in the parade!
Maybe this little guy can help out? He's at least dressed for the job.
We have our summertime workparty scheduled for July 14.
We'll start at 8am and hope to finish by noon.
We're hoping to see lots of volunteers show up, because we have got ALOT to do for this summer!

Remember, the park with be closed to dogs during the work party, except for the dogs of the volunteers who are helping out. We'll allocate someone to keep an eye on them while their humans help to make the park nice!
Want to help? Want to help plan the activities? Maybe you just want to contribute?
On the 4th of July, along with the fun for us, there is possible stress and hazards for your dog.
Here are some tips from PetMD and Life with Dogs which can help you keep your dog safe and reduce their stress during the festivities.
29 Chelmsford St - just outside of Chelmsford Center
On Tuesday, July 17, from 4pm – 9pm, Papa Gino’s on Chelmsford Street in Chelmsford Center will be hosting a fundraiser for the Chelmsford Dog Association. For any patron who presents the attached flyer Papa Gino’s will donate 20% of the proceeds to the organization.
On Saturday, July 21, from 10-2,  the CDA is hosting Christmas in July!

The Chelmsford Dog Park is celebrating 2 years of being open with a holiday-themed party!

Food, raffles, games, vendors and more!

Maybe even some summer pictures with Santa?

Vendor spaces available for $25 (non-profits, as always, are free)

Grass you say?

If you've been to the park this year, you have surely noticed the large section that we fenced off to re-grow the grass.
You've also probably noticed that it has grown really well!
We are going to mow it at the work party and then move the fencing to the next section which will be tilled, seeded, and regrown. With this plan, we hope to get the grass established and then section off smaller bits on a rotating schedule, allowing sections to rest and recover.
Finally, a HUGE thank you to all of the folks who do help out at the park.
We appreciate those of you who come to the work parties - without you, we'd never even put a dent in the maintenance that needs to get done.
We appreciate those of you who help out the CDA at events - as vendors, as volunteers and as attendees - without you, our events would just be the CDA standing around wondering what we're doing there.
We appreciate those of you who help with the day-to-day stuff, like emptying the trash cans, donating and restocking the poop-bag boxes and picking up poop that others have left behind - without you, the park would quickly turn into a biological hazard zone.
We appreciate the anonymous folks who drop a couple of bucks into the donation boxes - without you, the CDA wouldn't have any money to get things done at the park. Because of your donations, we are able to maintain the park with no financial assistance form the town itself. That keeps the town very happy with us!

So, Thank You - to everyone who helps
