GoBeDo Missions Update

Good day Church Family

God is so good. Since we last wrote a few days ago we have seen Gods blessings being poured out on His work

The first thing that happened was that we were able to pay off our immediate bills ( motorcycles and electric bill and since we paid it early and in cash we were able to get a cash discount which was enough to buy a couple bags of bread that we were able to share with our fellow missionaries and the children. It was priceless and one of those moments I wished I would have had a camera in my hand for

Next we received a message that help was on the way to help with the radio building and other much needed help just when we needed it most.

Now things are getting interesting up here on the mountain I do have to admit. Two people have come near the property to inquire about our front lot being for sale at the mission. If the second offer is for real we might be rebuilding in the near future. Our first problem though is that we still have not paid the gain tax to clear the title for that piece of land which we would need to do before selling so that the future owner would not have to endure the same problems we have had to in the past with false claimants. That’s a cost of nearly $5,000 us

Next I was reminded just yesterday of a quote that has been dear to me all these years and especially in the early years of this ministry. Sometimes you need mom or dad or uncle or someone to remind you of things you appear to have forgotten..

"Often the Christian life is beset by dangers, and duty seems hard to perform. The imagination pictures impending ruin before, and bondage or death behind. Yet the voice of God speaks clearly, “Go forward.” We should obey this command, even though our eyes cannot penetrate the darkness, and we feel the cold waves about our feet.” ChS 234

So we are recharged and regaining our vision that had seemed to be for a moment taken from us due to martial law and all the seemingly impossible obstacles. Our newest team is still inexperienced but for the next few weeks we will be helping them to understand the right principles in raising a congregation and how to properly do it and we will be praying for the Lord to open the gates of heaven to us and lead us into an area where His name will be honored and where we can erect an alter for Him

Our personal stipend arrived yesterday and it was just in time. Yesterday I returned from the city where I was able to buy some marine epoxy to repair the split water tank. I downloaded a couple videos from YouTube to give me pointers. (It’s been said you can’t be a good teacher unless you’re a good learner) and I was able with help to accomplish that today. Now we will let it dry and sand it smooth and it should be good as new. Looking at the cut closer we realized it wasn’t on a seam. We are not really sure how the damage occurred but praise God

I was also able to window shop for an acceptable windows computer for our daughters homeschool program called “switched On schoolhouse” This program requires a windows computer which we don’t have. Our last one was destroyed last year.

This will allow her to begin her studies for this year. I found that the place in the city called “Interpeace” had the fairest prices and included extended warranties because they do all repairs in-house. I will include a couple pics below

Those prices come out to about $342-350 us. I think that is comparable to Walmart prices I saw back in the States before coming back this year.

One last thing before we close today. It has come to my attention that several of you supporters have been having spiritual battles recently and some of you all year. It would be not only a blessing but it would be a privilege if we could all band together in the spirit of John 17 and pray for these dear precious souls for the kingdom. The gates of hell can not prevail against Gods church which YE are
