CONNECT: CIRCLE SUPPORT & RESOURCES SUMMER EDITION
The mission of Lean In Seattle is to move women forward. We are actively listening to this community to learn more about what members need in order to move forward individually and as members of Circles.
The Circles CONNECT series focuses on education and knowledge sharing opportunities that our community needs for personal and Circle development. There are two CONNECT events left in 2018 which will serve as a mini-series.
The August 11th event will focus on Diversity and Social Inclusion and provide opportunities to learn about and develop community across the Invisible Barriers that impact all of our lives.
We will be sharing the team norms and D&I practices that Lean In Seattle has been using to host events so that you can use them in your circles, and talking about barriers and exclusions that are often omitted from conversations about D&I as a group and in small intimate groups.
This will be a meaningful event focused on building connections and deepening understanding and respect across dimensions of difference. All attendees will be given tasks to complete at this event that they will have three months to work on, and will be asked to share their insights and findings at the November 10th CONNECT event.
EVENT WILL INCLUDE:
One hour of inclusive social networking opportunities
An original training about Diversity and Social Inclusion developed just for the Lean In Seattle community that will deliver resources for personal and Circle development
Opportunities for peers to learn from each other
Cross-circle dialogue and resource exchange
