Back to My Roots

Bucharest, Romania had a great vibe. It was less touristy than some of the other locations we have been to in Europe, but the people were still very welcoming. The Old Town was a lot of fun to walk and discover.

That said, Nikki and I spent a significant portion of our time indoors as I battled to recover from a cold, which I ended up giving to her. Ugh. One of the disadvantages of being on top of each other 24/7.

We are now in Warsaw, Poland where I will attempt to tap into my heritage (a good portion of my blood is Polish). If these next 2.5 weeks are anything like the first 12 hours, we are in for a treat. Our first night out walking the streets was impressive.

Nikki and I love music, and this is a week that we have been looking forward to for a while. European concerts, with their size and passion, are something that I always want to attend with musicians I follow for the unique experience. This week we get to see one of Nikki’s favorites, Beyonce, and my all-time favorite, Pearl Jam. We can’t wait!

Thank you for all of the positive feedback on my interview with Liz on Biz! It was a lot of fun talking to her about goal setting, how we pay for the journey, and my thoughts on long-term travel becoming more common. We are getting more interview requests so I will continue to share those as they come up.

In this week’s Podcast Episode, we discuss the Podcast Production Process and why we decided to start the podcast. We also go back a year when we had the luck of discovering Alicante, Spain.

Alicante is a beautiful city along the southeastern coast of Spain. It has an international airport, excellent public transportation, beautiful public beaches, fun nightlife, and plenty of good restaurants.

With just a little more than 300,000 people living here, Alicante has so much to do and might be the best coastal city in Spain! We talk about partying during the bonfires of San Juan and enjoying the flamenco dances in El Barrio Viejo.

Can you believe the first half of the year is almost complete? Unreal!

Here’s to you booking an awesome trip before the year ends!

Thanks for following along.

Matt
