It's nearing the end of June and my aspirations of doing a monthly newsletter have fallen by the wayside! Here's a roundup since April!
New Studio After taking on a small shop in my home town of Cardigan last year, I was blessed to find a new location (I wasn't actively looking), that meant I could have a fully fledged studio space. I am in LOVE with the new location and so pleased to have an open studio now! Check it out here
Junicorn
Through the month of June, many artists and creators contribute to #Junicorn, a month long challenge to create Unicorn themed artwork. I've enjoyed creating some illustrations that I may turn into a children's book in the future! View my Junicorn creations
Blodeuwedd
A local art gallery is holding an open art competition for artwork inspired by Alan Garner's popular novel 'The Owl Service' which is loosely based on the Welsh myth of Blodeuwedd, naturally I had to enter! View my entry
Latest Totem
I'm still pushing forward with the Totem Project and Flamingo Totem was a rather spontaneous addition to the deck, but one I'm super happy to include. He is available as prints now and greeting cards soon! View Flamingo Totem here
Totem Oracle Deck
Speaking of the Totem Project, the end goal for this project is to create an Oracle Deck featuring all the animals including their meanings. Similar to a Tarot Card deck, an Oracle deck is a great way to get your hands on all the artworks and also have fun with learning their meanings and how they can apply to your life. I've been working on the card designs when I have the time and exploring some different layouts!
