ELLENIE IS HEADED TO SOUL FIRE FARM!!!

By now, many of you should be familiar with one of the newest members of our crew, Ellenie Cruz. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting her around the shop yet, you might have already heard of her from her work with the Nola Herb Gathering or Asc3nsion Arts. She is a mover and shaker, a herbalist and a doula, a healer and a bright spirit. We are so excited to have her blessing up Maypop with her energy and knowledge and so proud of her for getting accepted to Soul Fire Farm's Black and Latinx Farmers Immersion Program. We can't wait to see all that she brings back from her time there and know that she has so much to offer them as well. Join with us in nurturing and supporting Ellenie and helping her make this a reality so she can return to us and continue her work of nurturing our community.

As some of you know, I have been accepted to Soul Fire Farm's Black and Latinx Farmers Immersion Program. You may know my primary source of income is through my own business Asc3nsion Art, a holistic wellness business that focuses on earth based practices and art to heal and improve quality of life for people across many spectrums. I've dedicated my life to the well being of others through education, patient advocacy, health care, therapy and so much more and I hope to always continue to do this work.
The services and product I provide are extremely accessible and affordable. For that reason I am reaching out to people in my community to support me as I try to expand my knowledge and the way I provide care and liberatory resources for others.
I am hoping that through Soul Fire Farms program I become equipt with the knowledge to start a community garden that will provide food and medicine to the people in my neighborhood.
