Neale Family visits UWSP

The CPS and the UWSP School of Education welcomed
Jim and Lorrie Neale to campus today. The
Oscar W. Neale Fellowship recognizes and supports outstanding collaboration between UWSP Education faculty and K-12 educators in Central Wisconsin. The 2010-11 recipient Karen Hansel from St. Stanislaus Catholic School collaborated with Cindy Cate of the SOE to create the P.A.W.S. (Point’s Alliance With St. Stan’s) Literacy Lab. Students from Cindy Cate’s Reading Methods classes worked with classroom teachers and students at St. Stan’s to enhance students’ literacy skills using a method called Reader’s Theater.

Smart Meals program led by HPHD students and alumni

UWSP Health Promotion and Human Development students and alumni have helped develop the Smart Meals program from Wood County Health Department and Get Active Wood County.

Okray publishes hunting book

Athletics equipment manager Mike Okray recently published "Once Upon a Time in Camo," a collection of comical hunting adventures during his 18-year career as owner of Hunts West, Inc. Alum named head swimming coach at Purdue

Former UW-Stevens Point swimmer and School of Business and Economics alum
Erica Janssen has been hired as the new women’s swimming assistant coach at Purdue University.
