July2011
Hello friends. Lots of lovely finds for you on Bondville last month. I even managed to share a few things while we were on a little family holiday to Maui (like how I managed to drop that in). I brought home a lovely Kula Jungle pressed flower necklace souvenir that I've been wearing non-stop. Let me know if you have Hawaii on your agenda; I have some nice recommendations. So! Please enjoy these fabulous Aussie designs from July 2011:
Australian Art and Design
Made by White has collaborated with some great artists on a new line of brooches. Love those little bulldogs.
Fun, graphic, retro-leaning wall art from Otobi Prints in Melbourne - for kids and adults too.
REread recycled childrens book brooches by Brisbane artist Hayley Lees. As worn by Sun on Masterchef!
Just for Kids
The Red Chalk kids fashion label is back, and I couldn't be more excited. I love Brisbane-based Kate Perry's bold, comfy, illustrated pieces for stylish kids.
Alimrose Designs launches new squeaker designs for the new generation of Aussie babies.
If you're looking for something fun to do with your little ones in Sydney, check out the historic Rouse Hill house and farm. There's a lovely guided tour for the kids where they get to feed the chickens and cows and collect eggs.
Kids Room Ideas
Great doorstops, cushions, wall decals, bunting and more home decor for kids from Melbourne-based Tiges and Weince.
Check out the Bondville Kids Room Ideas category for more lovely Australian children's rooms.
Party Ideas
There are lots of ideas to take from my friend Bron's birthday party for her 4 year old son - a Liverpool Football Team party theme!
If you are looking for more birthday party ideas, check out Talin's Safari Birthday Party over on the Ah-Tissue blog.
There are also lots of great birthday inspiration here on Bondville under the Party Ideas category.
For Mum
This one has been really hot. My friend Sara guest posts about the Sirens Swimwear pop-up shop evening that she attended recently - super-sassy Esther Williams-style swimwear that might actually be flattering.
Donna Hay has a new almond macaron with chocolate filling baking mix available in supermarkets and the Donna Hay online store. Have you tried it yet?
More food - this time my tweaked Low-Guilt Chocolate Raspberry Muffins that are so easy that my 3-year old can almost make them herself. Six successful batches and counting...
