A stunning future ahead for the Adelaide Convention Centre

The Adelaide Convention Centre recently unveiled details of its exciting expansion plan which will transform the ACC into a multi-purpose state-of-the-art facility with a conference capacity of up to 3,500.

Red noses all round

The whole Hughes PR team got into the spirit of Red Nose Day as you can see on our Flickr photostream. We reckon Mark as the sad clown is the clear winner for the best photo! This year Red Nose Day helped raise funds for one our clients, SIDS for Kids, to support their invaluable efforts in saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families. See all the photos here.

Defence industry in Adelaide

Our clients Force Protection Australasia and Defence Teaming Centre showcased their latest technology and research at the Defence & Industry Conference and Trade Expo, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre last month. D&I 2011 attracted more than 200 exhibitors and 2500 trade delegates to find out more on how the Australian Government will invest $150 billion in defence capability over the next decade.

Leave early for your next flight

Work is well underway for the Adelaide Airport’s new multi-level car park which will open in mid 2012, and passengers are advised to allow an extra 15 minutes for their journey as parking spaces are gradually reduced to accommodate construction. The project will more than double the size of the existing short-term car park, with five levels providing short-term parking for 2,000 public and car rental vehicles. The fracture tests are expected to be completed in coming days. Read more
