A stunning future ahead for the Adelaide Convention Centre
The Adelaide Convention Centre recently unveiled details of its exciting expansion plan which will transform the ACC into a multi-purpose state-of-the-art facility with a conference capacity of up to 3,500.
The striking design is inspired by the South Australian landscape and was put forward by Adelaide-based architectural firm Woods Bagot in association with London-based international architect Larry Oltmanns. The two stage redevelopment process is due for completion by June 2017. Read more

Defence industry in Adelaide
Our clients Force Protection Australasia and Defence Teaming Centre showcased their latest technology and research at the Defence & Industry Conference and Trade Expo, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre last month. D&I 2011 attracted more than 200 exhibitors and 2500 trade delegates to find out more on how the Australian Government will invest $150 billion in defence capability over the next decade.

Leave early for your next flight
Work is well underway for the Adelaide Airport’s new multi-level car park which will open in mid 2012, and passengers are advised to allow an extra 15 minutes for their journey as parking spaces are gradually reduced to accommodate construction. The project will more than double the size of the existing short-term car park, with five levels providing short-term parking for 2,000 public and car rental vehicles. Petratherm takes next step
Commercial production of geothermal energy in Australia will hopefully be a step closer following major fracture testing currently being undertaken by Petratherm at its flagship Paralana project in SA’s Far North. Key stakeholders travelled to Paralana last weekend to visit Petratherm’s 3670m deep well and witness the commencement of sub-surface “fracture stimulation” works, which represent a key stage in the company’s development as a clean energy provider. The fracture tests are expected to be completed in coming days. Read more
