Every culture has its own secrets and traditions to improved health and longevity. The Japanese have hara hachi bu, which means eating until you are about 80% full; The Dutch contribute longer life and better health to daily exercise; The Greeks and The Spanish indulge in siestas; and The Indian culture practices in a herbal remedy system of medicine called Ayurveda, which means "knowledge of life."
We can all take cues from each culture and incorporate their time-honored traditions into our lives in order to improve our well-being.
So how does ginger tie into all of this? For thousands of years, ginger has been used for both medicinal and spiritual purposes in the vast majority of Asian, African and Middle Eastern cultures.
