Khronos Sees Explosive Growth
In 10th Year at SIGGRAPH

Khronos is delighted to observe ten years of participation in SIGGRAPH North America with a huge new “Member Demonstration Pavilion,” an Open House hospitality suite for Press & Educators, and five BOFS covering a variety of our APIs.

For the last ten years, Khronos Group open standards have been the foundation of a multi-billion dollar industry, and for those same ten years Khronos has been honored to be part of SIGGRAPH. This year in Vancouver on August 9, 10 and 11, 2011, we have a greater presence than in previous years, and some exciting new developments.
  • CHECKOUT the new "Khronos Pavilion" Booth #666 right in the middle of the SIGGRAPH show floor with numerous Khronos member company demos!
  • TEACH Khronos APIs! Professors and trainers are invited to an Open House to discuss coursework contributions to the “Khronos Institute of Training & Education”
  • LEARN from five Khronos BOFs spread out over August 10 and 11; each with updates on Khronos APIs, demos and door prizes
  • FREE Khronos API Reference Card Sets ($100 value) offered to anyone that completes a “Khronos Pavilion Tour”
  • NEWS will be announced at the show so please contact Jonathan Hirshon for more details
Introducing the “Khronos Pavilion” with individual Khronos member companies demonstrating products running on Khronos-developed standards
Khronos is excited that ACM has enabled us to organize some of our members into one large pavilion in a central location to display and demo products.  Stop by and see demos from:  ARM, Codeplay, DMP, Fixstars and HUONE.  Check out details at the Khronos SIGGRAPH event web page and the SIGGRAPH 2011 web site

Get a free Khronos API Reference Card Set (a $100 value) for completing a tour of the booths on the Khronos Pavilion
Khronos reference cards have proven to be very popular tools for developers. They look cool, are laminated to be durable, and provide the information programmers need at their fingertips. This year we are running a “Reference Card Round Up.” Start at Khronos Reception Booth #666 and visit each of the six booths on the Khronos pavilion to get a “two minute pitch” and then collect your receipt for a free reference card set to be shipped to the address of your choosing.

This will be a cooperative educational community providing coursework, projects, Internships and ecosystem materials. This open invitation is to professors and academic officials to stop by our hospitality suite Booth #764 anytime during show floor hours Tuesday Aug 9th from 9:30AM-6:00PM and share a snack or beverage while we tell you about KITE and how you can get involved.
