CONFIDENCE

Eleanor Roosevelt once wrote,
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face".
Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with our current group of
PULSE participants (eight amazing women who will complete our program at the end of this month). I asked them about some of the ways in which they have grown over the past year. Here's their response:
• became
more comfortable with myself
•
developed a backbone
• took
initiative and became more
assertive
• became
confident in my leadership ability
• developed
time management skills
• learned to
try new things
• developed better
discernment
• became
confident
The transition from college to the "working world" is tough. Ask any recent college graduate. Finding work, developing new friendships, establishing a support network.
The road taken by these eight women is different than the road taken by most college graduates.
They have decided to live in community; not isolation; serve, not take; share, not hoard; live in faith, not fear.
As a result, they've gained
"strength, courage and confidence". They've also gained deep friendships, a strong support network and meaningful work experience.
Thank you so much for your support of these women this year. They are a gift to us and so are you.
Sincerely,
Chris Cooke
