For day 26 of your Community Bible Experience, you'll read pages 291-297 from Hebrews.
Dear <<First name>>,

Imagine you're a Jewish Christian living in the first-century Rome AD. Judaism is legally recognized (or at least tolerated). Your newfound faith in Jesus, however, has no legal standing — which means things could get dicey in a hurry.

This calls for a healthy dose of perseverance in wisdom... which is why we have the books of Hebrews and James.

In today's reading, the writer of Hebrews tries to persuade his readers to maintain their identity as followers of Jesus, arguing that the new reality he ushered in is way better than the old one.

Today we'll read pages 291-297 from Hebrews.
Read until "...and not as their teachers of the law."

Enjoy the journey!

P.S. You may have noticed we slowed the pace down a bit today, because there are some pretty meaty ideas in Hebrews. Take time to savor the richness of this book!
