"Jā!"
With this simple Latvian word ("yes" in English), Anna's and my life changed drastically... all for the better!

With those two letters, Anna and I became husband and wife and promised each other in front of God and a church full of our friends and family that we would spend the rest of our lives together. And by saying "Jā" Anna officially joined the Brooks family! A simple but life-changing word, huh? (You're supposed to yell "Jā!" at your computer now haha)
I can honestly say that our wedding day was the happiest day of my life and one that I will never forget. There were so many cool moments and details about the day that I cannot even begin to share about it through email. But the best way to describe it was that it was a perfect day! We have had numerous people say that it was the best and most beautiful wedding that they had ever been to. A bit humbling, but also a testimony to God's goodness and the many prayers and dozens of people who came together to make the day happen. It felt like the whole world came together to bless us as a couple! We thank God for that.
We won't have the official photographs and video for a while, but when we do get them I will let you know. For now, there are a few more pictures below...
We are ridiculously blessed!
It goes without saying, but I am thrilled to be with such an amazing woman of God! Anna is precious to me and I know my love for her will continue to grow and mature as we walk through life together. I am a blessed man, for sure. (Say it again with me, "Jā!")
It is also overwhelming when we try and think about thanking all the different people who helped to make our wedding day a reality. I have never been so blessed and humbled in my life! There was a huge amount of people who were involved in making this day so special for Anna and me! Many of you were involved in very practical ways, and you were all part of it through your precious prayers.
All this to say... THANK YOU!!!!!! We are beyond blessed and encouraged by the love and support we have recieved over the past few weeks. Thank you for all the prayers, thoughts, letters, gifts, emails, marshmallows, etc. that you sent on our behalf. We appreciate you!
"Medus Mēnesis"

After the wedding we took some much needed time off to rest as husband and wife.

We stayed a few nights at a beautiful guest house located just outside the beach city of Liepaja.

On the last night of our honeymoon, a good friend of ours gifted us with a night at a five-star hotel in the city! Not too shabby. It was a great ending to an amazing few days together. We are still a bit in shock about what just happened, but it is slowly sinking in that we get to spend the rest of our lives together. Thank you Jesus!

The Brooks Family in LV
It was a special blessing to have my family here (minus Carly & Maddison) to celebrate with us on this significant occasion!

My parents arrived two weeks before the wedding, and Rob and Tim got in the week before, so it was great to have them here to help with the preparation. We got to spend a lot of time together as a family and somehow the five of us were able to fit into my small car. I freaking love my family!

One of the best parts of having them here was that they were able to meet Anna's family and spend time with them. At first I was a bit nervous because of the small language barrier, but God answers prayers and it could not have gone any better! I am thankful to say that in just a short amount of time our families became good friends!

The Brookses and Baštiki together. We're a pretty small group, huh? (And one last time, sarcastically... "Jā!")
