Purslane - don't weed it, eat it!

Purslane (Portulaca oleracea), also known as pigweed, is an annual plant that grows like a ground cover. The leaves are tasty and nutritious. Purslane can be eaten raw, for example in salads, and it can be cooked by stir frying or steaming. But you might have to wait until summer for it to appear in your garden.

Find out more from Wagtail Farm and read a fact sheet from the University of Adelaide.
