The Marriage Course - online!


Have you ever wondered about doing The Marriage Course but found it hard to find the time or a regular evening? Well, now's your opportunity!

David & Kate will be running the course online in Term 3 (and planning for our next in-person course in Term 1 2021).
  • 7.45-9.45pm Wednesday evenings starting 12 August* in the comfort of your own home (or catch-up the session in your own time if this is difficult - we'll send you the link to the session)
This is such a great course (and yes, we're using the brand new re-filmed version), and a wonderful opportunity to invest in your relationship and learn more about each other in a fun and relaxed way.

After School Art Classes

Daniel Bell and Deborah Forsythe are again running after-school art classes this term.

The classes have been designed for middle and upper primary school children (9-12 years old) and are a great way for them to explore creative art and the gifts God has given them in these areas!

The lessons are good fun and give children opportunities to experiment with different styles of art and try different mediums.

Postcards to deliver to...
the suburb of Coromandel Valley

We are aiming to deliver these postcards to each home in Coromandel Valley (around 1500 homes).

The postcards and corresponding maps (to ensure we don't double-dip) can now be picked up from the Church Office during office hours. Pick up a bundle or two and a pre-marked map and enjoy a walk through the valley either on your own or as you walk with a friend.

We have created a specific COVID-19 Information Resource Page that we would encourage you to view. It covers the following:

  • Updates re. easing of restrictions (incl. specifics re. Step 3)
  • Use of church facilities
  • The COVID Team (Circle 92) - refugee / asylum seeker support
  • SA COVID-19 Mental Health Support Line
  • Emergency groceries

Food Parcels for Refugees

A huge thank you to those who have so generously given fruit, dried food items and toiletries to be included in food parcels given out each weekend.

There are still about 140 recipients of these food parcels in need due to COVID-19 job losses. Please continue to give as you are able by dropping any items into the Ministry Centre between Monday and Thursday 10am-12pm.

STOP PRESS - As a token of our appreciation at being able to return to gathered worship, we are inviting everyone to bring a bag of groceries to donate at our opening service (10am Sunday 2 August - see info below for what to bring). Thanks to Lee Newman for this great idea!

We know there are some for whom returning to worship raises some questions. Jenny Wichert is heading up a group to ensure that everything is in place from a safety and logistical perspective.
Join us online 10am this Sunday to find out more - there will also be more on our web/app early next week and in next week's e-news!
Rosters: Some folk may be wondering about what's happening with rosters... well... we're changing the way we do things in more ways than one and during this time of transition the staff or ministry leaders will make direct contact with some of you to ensure we have the people to help out as needed. Thank you for your support as we put new systems in place!

Fred Johnson


Many of you would remember Fred Johnson who was a member of our congregation for many years. Fred died on Monday night, a day before his 93rd birthday. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers at this time.

We don't yet have the details of his funeral, however please leave your name with Sue if you would like to be informed when this has been finalised.

Thank you to everyone at CoroUniting for partnering  with us and supporting us through the past 5 years in our journey with International Nepal Fellowship (INF). This has been integral to everything we have done and it has made a huge difference to us being able to serve in Nepal. It has been a privilege for us to serve with INF and we want to say thank you to you, our church family for sharing in our journey and the work of INF in Nepal. We hope you have also been blessed along the way. Hoping to reconnect with more of you soon!

Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behaviour from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Plastic Free July


Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.

See Cat Patrick's notes (from a PFJ party she hosted a year or two ago - linked here with permission) explaining how her desire to love her neighbour in practical ways like household impact on the environment has led to a framework that she uses: to be Active and Loving, Honest and Humble, Gracious and Non-Judgemental, Restful and Hopeful.

GENTS Camp is for boys in Years 7-10. It's a camp where boys can be boys in the great outdoors, in a fun, safe and fully supervised way, but also where they are challenged in matters of faith as well as what it means to be a real man.

GENTS Camp SA Father & Sons is a weekend away for fathers (or father-figures) and boys aged 8-12. It's a Christian camp aimed at helping fathers become clear on what type of legacy they want to pass on to their sons, and what type of meaningful activities will help them do this. Check out the Camp Program & Philosophy for more info.
