GMN Newsletter

Hi Everyone and Welcome!

Thankyou for signing up to the Grassroots Music Network. This is the first of our newsletters which we will be sending out periodically. You can opt out of them at anytime if you wish to do so (go to the bottom of the email to do this), but we don't intend bombarding you with them. They are a way to keep you up-to-date with what the network and members are currently doing and anyone who has signed up to the network is very welcome to contribute any news items they have that they think maybe useful to the rest of the network. 

We are currently still in the development stages of the GMN website - which is an extension to what we initially started as a physical network just before lockdown. We are aiming to meet physically once again at the RSA in London when this weird Covid-19 moment has passed. We also hope to plan some events, once we are able to do so, which hopefully will also include events outside London.

In the meantime we are focusing on getting the website working in a useful way and populated with helpful information. So please do let us know if there is anything you would like to see on site. There are also networking capabilities within the website which anyone may use. For example, it is possible to host your own private or public groups on the site should you wish to. We are also happy for you to experiment and try something out, so if there is a web facility you think would help you, then please do let us know and we will see what can be done. 

The GMN is free to use and be a member of.  At the heart of the network is a smaller network of RSA fellows who serve as the foundations, giving it stability and working to enable it to do stuff. Just to note though, those of us working on the website are doing so in their spare time, so you may not necessarily get a response to enquires immediately and it also means that currently it is taking us a little longer than we would like to get the website organised in the right way and populated with information. 

We very much welcome any feedback or ideas that you may have, so please do get in touch, and if you have any information for the site, then please do send it to us.
