Last week, the state of South Carolina agreed to pay postage for all absentee ballots in November.
1. Now check that you are still registered to vote. SCVOTES.gov (New web address)
2. Now request an application for an absentee ballot. To request the application by mail, phone or email go to SCVOTES.gov (New web address)
3. If you have difficulty with the website or do not have access to the internet, call 843-255-6900. You will be asked for your social security number. You can have an application mailed to you or emailed to you.
Judy Glazer, Sun City Indivisible member, spoke to Robin in the Beaufort office. Robin said:
Encourages everyone to get the absentee ballot.
They need to know how many ballots to order, so applying earlier is better.
They expect long lines on election day
There will be only a few people allowed inside at a time.
There will be no chairs or places to rest.
They are not sure yet how they will do curbside.
If you get the absentee ballot and decide to vote in person:
You can vote EARLY at Ulmer Road in Bluffton or John Galt Road in Beaufort by surrendering your absentee ballot there and then vote in person.
On the day of the election you must surrender your ballot at the John Galt Road or Ulmer Road office and then go vote in person at your polling place.

A fascist paramilitary is a fighting force - whether armed, unarmed, or merely symbolic - that is independent of regular military command and is established for the defense and advancement of a movement that adheres to the radical nationalist ideology of fascism. Since fascism is such a militarist ideology, there are very few varieties of fascism where paramilitaries do not play a central role, and some kind of paramilitary participation is almost always a basic requirement of membership in fascist movements. TRUMP PREPPING TO DISPATCH FEDERAL SQUADS TO MORE DEM CITIES
The Trump administration is preparing to roll out a plan this week to send controversial military-style federal squads already in Portland, Oregon, into other cities, warned White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who only named locations that have Democratic mayors. Attorney General William Barr is “weighing in on that” with acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf, Meadows said Sunday on Fox News. “You’ll see something rolled out this week, as we start to go in and make sure that the communities — whether it’s Chicago or Portland or Milwaukee,” he added. All three cities named are run by Democrats. [HuffPost]

This President-directed para-military (staffed by ICE and Customs and Border Protection personnel) are at war with peaceful American citizens. They are kidnapping and locking up people illegally. Ostensibly they are protecting federal property, but they are viewing American citizens as expendable "things" (just as African Americans have been treated for centuries) and instead protecting buildings and statues. All this is occurring under the aegis of the Department of Homeland Security (instituted to protect Americans) which is headed by a temporary director appointed by the President and never vetted by elected representatives. These para-military troops were not invited to Portland, and have not been invited to any of the cities Trump is targeting. When the troops enter the area where peaceful demonstrations are occurring, tensions escalate, weapons dominate, and a war-like situation ensues. .
We need to call it what it is: Fascism in America!
