Happy July! The Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival is always a highlight for us each year. Last year, we performed several of our favourite songs on stage at the festival, while people listened and danced the afternoon away.

From the perspective of caution, the organizers cancelled the event this year in order to help reduce the transmission of Covid-19.

Regular drop-in activities offered at Wing 404 and the Adult Recreation Centre are not scheduled to start at this time. So no social dancing, live music or any gathering.

We all continue to shift our efforts into other aspects these days. In our last newsletter, we noted that most if all of our methods to promote music and dance are available online. We have found other organizations doing the same.

We recently were featured on the Belmont Village Bestival website and social media page. Did you know Belmont Village in Kitchener, Ontario dates back to the 1930s?! To celebrate Belmont Village's long history, our music video was one of several local bands featured.

Although, we are not performing in person at these wonderful festivals this year. We are still here promoting music, swing dancing, arts culture and inclusive community.

Members of the band continue to collaborate online to bring you more music. We hope you enjoy our latest and most fitting song, subscribe to our YouTube channel and give us a Like on social media to keep up to date.

Who are we

A local and affordable traditional jazz band, focused on playing swing and blues music for dancing. Our values includes the preservation and promotion of early jazz.

We've paused all our in person group dance lessons. We do continue to promote the Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Blues and West Coast Swing in an inclusive, safe and social environment!

There is usually and always a dance workshop to get you started before each of our live music performances. But we are on hold at the moment.

We're not for hire at the moment due to the pandemic

We love performing for small swing dance clubs across south western Ontario. Late night blues house parties, birthdays and weddings. You can find us in Kitchener-Waterloo sharing our love for traditional jazz music and dance.
