In the August DATUM, we share the updated Rules for Stage 4 Restrictions in Melbourne, ArchiTeam Director Warwick Mihaly shares his latest article from his blog Panfilo on working pro bono, there is the latest initiative from the committee in assisting members in becoming Carbon Neutral in 2020.

We announce the new category in this years ArchiTeam Awards  - The Passive House Scholarship, brought to you by the Australian Passive House Association, so start entering. We’re also calling out to you all to submit a 'virtual' exhibition space for this year's Awards. We give notice of the 2020 Annual General Meeting and announce the election for two vacancies on the ArchiTeam Board of Directors.

Working together - Stage 4 Restrictions

Last week, many Victorian Architects, along with the rest of the metropolitan Melbourne went into Stage 4 Restrictions. These latest Rules were particularly unclear as to how Victorian Architects would be able to continue to practice for the following 6 weeks. Thankfully our good friends at the ACA (always quick to respond) spoke with contacts in the Victorian Government and as a result of this conversation the following communique was issued on Friday with details to the updated Rules. Force Majeure ABIC special condition

Thanks to the ACA, Moray and Agnew has developed special conditions for ABIC SW-2018 contracts on their behalf. In their unamended forms, these contracts have no provisions addressing risk for, among other things, pandemics such as Covid-19.
